Nite Aqua Tritium Dive Watch Review
I will admit up front that I ended up enjoying the Nite Aqua watch a lot more than I thought I would. It wasn't that anything struck me as suspect about the timepiece before I received it, but rather that brands of this caliber are just as likely to please as they are to disappoint. Nite is a UK-based watch brand that focuses on using Swiss quartz movements and tritium gas tubes produced by MB Microtec H3 (also in Switzerland). There are a number of such brands, and not all of them are created equal. Why are there so many brands that follow this formula? Well, it really has to do with
Omega Spacemaster Z-33 Watch Review
The Omega Speedmaster Spacemaster Z-33 watch is the thematic follow-up to the famed Omega X-33 pilot watch that we recently discussed again as it was?worn (and loved) by Astronaut Chris Hadfield (now apparently retired). The X-33 was originally released in 1998, mostly intended toward the professional and active enthusiast market as a sort of Omega answer to the Breitling Aerospace. What makes all these watches unique in the high-end space is that they are not mechanical, but rather quartz-based. Though, as I will explain, that is nothing to dissuade you from wanting one.Yeas ago, Ome
Official Game Of Thrones 'The Night's Watch,' Wrist Watch
Thanks to watch maker Ulysse Nardin, The Night's Watch now has a watch. Teaming up with HBO, Ulysse Nardin has produced a limited edition version of their Marine Diver for the Game of Thrones. The pre-mechanical fantasy medieval world now brought to life in the popular cable television show, now has a timepiece all its own. Just don't expect to see the piece on the wrist of Jon Snow or other members of the celibate order of honorable men and prisoners who man "the wall."As an eager "watch spotter" when it comes to timepieces worn by characters in television shows that I like, I
Chopard Mille Miglia GMT Chrono Watch
For 2012 Chopard once again comes out with a new Mille Miglia watch. This time it's a GMT chronograph as a limited edition. According to Chopard, the Mille Miglia represents "consistently reinvented perfection". That sounds pretty lofty. I would go with "consistently renovated". That better represents how Chopard makes slows changes and visual enhancements to the core design. While these are expensive watches, I've always been happy with them when it comes to look, comfort, quality, and utility. The Mille Miglia GMT Chrono is an evolution on a design that we all know. Tweaks here are i
Angular Momentum La Boulle Classic Damascus Watch
Here is another artful creation from Angular Momentum that has caught my eye. Using beautiful Damascus steel, the La Boulle Classic Damascus watch combines the unique type of metal work with Angular Momentum's common disc display dial and case. The dial is purely minimalistic. A black sapphire crystal has a window opening to a white color disc. There is a line applied to the window so that you can read the time. The disc moves once around the dial each 12 hours. It may not be the most precise way of reading the time, but it does give way to a world of possibilities when it comes to wha
