Cartier Secret Panda Watch
This cute ladies watch from Cartier?is called the Secret Panda. I don't use the term "cute" all that often to describe timepieces, but this one certainly is. All in 18k white gold clad in diamonds, black sapphires and two emeralds for the eyes, this little panda is literally humping the watch. Slide the little humping panda down and you reveal the time. You can even move the panda back and forth quickly to make it appear as though it is humping quickly. I love stuff like this.Cartier makes a lot of "secret" watches. That means that something is hiding the time display dial tha
Montegrappa Nero Uno Watch Set Review
Earlier in 2012, I traveled to Bassano del Grappa in Italy to visit the headquarters of high-end writing instrument maker Montegrappa. The brand has an interesting history both in product and business. Partially because it was acquired by the Richemont Group, and then re-acquired by the family which owned it. I did an interview with their esteemed CEO Giuseppe Aquila here on Centurion if you care to learn more about the brand.Montegrappa's primary business is the manufacture of nice pens. Though in that world it is apparently low-class to simply call their products "pens." They prefer

IWC Portofino Watch Available On James List
As far as I am concerned the "lost" IWC watch model is the Portofino. Yes, they still made the watch - in at least a few varieties - but you never hear about it. Perhaps this is a function of myself being in the US, but I have yet to see real marketing for the Portofino. It isn't a bad timepiece at all. Over time the IWC Portofino watch has changed, but right here is the basic, entry level Portofino model. There is also a chronograph version in production. In my opinion, the Portofino is the basic, entry level "formal" watch from IWC. It sits close in theme to the Portuguese, but is di
la Montre Verte City Pulse Pollution Detecting Green Watch
Here is a cool idea that is more than just a concept, but actually being done right now. Pictured above is the "Green Watch" and it is part of the la Montre Verte City Pulse project currently taking place in Paris France. It was started by the FING (Fondation Internet Nouvelle Generation) The project's goal is to create a system to measure air and noise pollution in urban centers, eventually learning how to create environmentally sustainable cities. There are currently three prototype Green Watches being worn that have air and noise sensors. The watches collect information and use a mo
