How To Choose What Watch To Buy
The choice of which watch to buy is a deeply personal decision. Even if you own a large collection of timepieces, you've probably carefully considered the purchase of each, as it is a new introduction in your life on your body, and is a very personal accoutrement. The purpose of this article is to help you to learn how to make the decision of what watch to buy.I don't believe that at aBlogtoWatch it is our role to tell you what watch to buy. We aren't here to tell you what you should think is cool, or what constitutes a good-looking watch, or which watches will increase in value. We strongly
Greubel Forsey Art Piece 1 Watch With Willard Wigan
Very soon ultra high-end watch maker Greubel Forsey will begin to fully release a new limited edition of watches made in participation with micro-sculptor artist Willard Wigan. The watches will be known as "Greubel Forsey Art Pieces," and seem to be numerically numbered. The relationship might seem a bit strange at first but begins to make more sense as you think more about it. Wigan is known for making tiny art under a microscope. He is most well-known for creating scenes and figurines on the heads of nails and in pin holes. His creations take a lot of time and he is among the only pe
Tag Heuer Link Watch Collection For 2011
Among Tag Heuer's mainstay watch collections is the Link. I believe it was originally introduced in the late 1980s, and has been a major part of the brand's image since then. The Link's DNA has always been linked to its bracelet - offering a special look that many have tried to replicate (but not very well). For 2011 Tag Heuer updates and refines the entire link watch collection. I sat down with Tag Heuer's CEO Mr. Babin to talk all about it.I previously wrote about a Link watch here when doing a review a few years ago. Owning a previous Link model helped me to see the differences tha
Book Review: Masters Of Contemporary Watch Making
I don't read a lot of books on watches. There sure are enough of them out there. Large, pretty coffee table books designed to be skimmed through while sitting in a large easy chair listening listening to background jazz and perhaps enjoying a scotch. These luxo-tomes are meant for high-end collectors, and priced as such. That doesn't mean they are well written. Most of them list facts, but the best of them are actually worth a read. This is one of them. It also helps that it looks nice and have gorgeously printed images. Images that put even the best computer images to shame. I kid you
Tempvs Compvtare Sea Shepherd Watch
Some people speak for the trees, and others speak for the whales, and dolphins (and porpoises, sharks, turtles, and umm.... others animals). Enter the Sea Shepherd Conservation society, its boats, and its vagabond band of activists. Some people call them eco-terrorists, some call them the only people out there actively trying to do something about the problems of illegal whaling and other vicious anti-Earth activities. Personally, I am glad that someone is doing more than just whining on a sidewalk in Berkeley. You can talk all the crap you want to about people like those who volunteer
