A black rubber strap, finished with a folding clasp, completes the features of the new Mido watch
The new Planet Flora Diamond watch displays hours and minutes by means of central partially transparent hands. Taking care of seconds is a slender hand, fitted with a red tip. The dial also ensures chronograph functions, presented through 12-hour, 30-minute and small seconds counters. They are located at 6, 9.30 and 2.30 respectively.Additionally, the display offers a date indication, which appears in the aperture at 4 o'clock. Animating the functions stated is a Swiss-made quartz Ronda 5030D movement.A black rubber strap, finished with a folding clasp, completes the features of the new Mido watch.
VCXO Ox One Magic Button Mechanical Watch With GPS Time Synchronization
The VCXO Ox One is a bold new concept from a young Geneva-based brand which offers a rather unique bond between GPS technology and mechanical movements. While the accuracy of?GPS-set quartz watches is universally?acknowledged, most watch enthusiasts will agree mechanical watches tend to have more soul, thanks to their?"beating heart," when?the same can scarcely be said about electronic watches. With the Ox One, VCXO tries to achieve the best of both worlds by offering a watch with an automatic mechanical movement?equipped with a GPS module on top, allowing for the?synchronization of th
Baume & Mercier Capeland Watches For 2011
The first time that I wrote about Baume & Mercier's new for 2011 Capeland collection watches I was a bit irritated. The reason for that sentiment was the revival of the Capeland name in a thoroughly retro collection, whereas the original Capeland watches from about a decade or so ago were much more modern. In fact, these heritage style timepieces are modeled after watches from the late 1940s, not the late 1990s. I still feel a tender sense of nostalgia toward the original collection and would have preferred that Baume & Mercier use a different name for these watches but, aside
Temption CM05 Watch
I have a really strong affinity to the small, independent German watch maker Temption. I have two of their watches, the CGK203 and the Cameo (click on those links for my reviews). Each year they try to release a new model, and I eager await what they have to share. Last year it was the beautiful Cameo, and this year is the CM05. While the Cameo was a totally new design for the brand, the CMO5 is more of an evolution on their classic look. Emphasis here is on build quality, and the simple design aesthetic that made the Cameo as popular as it was.Temption is proud that the CM05 is total
Mondaine Railway Sport Chrono II Ref. A690.30338.11SBM Watch Review
For those of you who have never been interested in a Swiss Mondaine watch, this Railway Sport Chrono II watch might change your mind. The best way to know the watch is by the reference number which is A690.30338.11SBM, but that is no fun to say. So I will stick with Sport Chrono II. Let's survey the features of this watch first and notice a correction below that I misstated in the review video. In addition to the time, the quartz Ronda 5040.B movement has some cool features. First is the big date complication that places the date on two discs (one that is 0-3, and the ot
