Two Vintage Tudors Worth A Look: While Not Really Rolexes
As many of you probably know, Tudor is a subsidiary of Rolex who sells watches on the theme of even slightly less than the price of a Rolex. They are certainly not a Rolex, but they are still very solid timepiece. Rolex case and crowns and a large part of this Rolex finishing but with modified highly movements ETA are adjusted to Rolex spec... for us, seems fairly well. The only difference is the ETA vs Rolex movement and the name on the face. They have been absent from the stage to the United States for some time but their new Grantour watch is a stunner, and it is also the official watch of Porsche Motorsport... not bad right?
Sinn U200 B (EZM 8) Limited Edition Diver With Blue Dial
Sinn U200B on strapThere are two things about this watch that make it worth sharing. First off, the limited-edition galvanized matte blue dial. Normally sold in black, this version (ref EZM 8) is only available through December 31, 2013. Secondly, despite having a full 2000m (over a mile!) depth rating, the U200 is a svelte 37mm case.In what I think is a first for Sinn, it's sold with a matching blue and white NATO strap.Sinn U200B on NatoOne more of that combo:Sinn U200B on NatoNATOs aren't my favorite, but they're super popular and inexpensive, and an easy way to cha

Thomas Ninchritz Vice Versa Watch Available On James List
The reason this watch is called the Vice Versa should be pretty clear. Thomas Ninchritz took an ETA Unitas 6498 manually wound movement and was able to mount it backwards on the watch. He calls this his Caliber TN 203. At the same time, he was able to move the watch dial so that it is located in an smaller, off-centered position... on what would be the rear of the watch. So what you are left with is a timepiece whose dial is the rear of a heavily modified Unitas 6498 which has been highly decorated, and has a small watch face on the dial.Appeal here is not only in the unique "adjustme
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980 Watch
New Patek Philippe watches for 2010 didn't exactly make me jump for joy, but I did like the two new additions to the Nautilus collection. No new movements, but new implementations in the Nautilus cases. Here is the Nautilus Chronograph (ref. 5980 in steel and 5980R in gold), and I also liked the Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726 that I wrote about here. What I like about the layout of the Patek Philippe Caliber CH 280520 C is that is it is a 12 hour chronograph that looks like a watch with only a subsidiary seconds dial (more or less) - and is still easy to read. Pretty nice looking a
