Milus Limited-Edition Zetios Chronograph Watches For Brazil
We often see sports stars endorsing watch brands (as ambassadors), or specific models (within advertising). It's something a bit more on the rare side for a brand to create an edition in honor of a specific athlete - but that's exactly what Milus has done. The athlete in question is the footballer Roberto Carlos (wiki), who retired from the sport just last year. Starting with their Zetios Chronograph, Milus has incorporated, in a subtle manner, the colors of the Brazilian flag. And it's a welcome bit of color, set as it is against a carbon fiber dial and 45mm DLC-coated case.Se
Ventura Sparc MGS Watch
Pierre Nobs started Ventura watches some years back. The brand disappeared for a while but is now back. The high-end futuristic concepts make for slick watches. The brand's return is not a mirror of the old Ventura. Once featuring both mechanical and quartz watches, the new Ventura will focus on digital watches and those with interesting quartz movements (if I understand correctly).Ventura was started by Pierre Nobs - who is again running the show. I met with Pierre to check out some of their new stuff. Nobs is more engineer than businessman. He speaks straight an
Luminox Tony Kanaan Limited Edition Watch Version 2
The first limited edition watch created as a partnership between Indy Car driver Tony Kanaan and Luminox was such a success that less than a year later another is already out. Instead of just being a watch with a famous racer's name on it, Kanaan (being a major watch lover), and Luminox worked really closely together on the design. While Tony could have easily worked with a number of higher-end brands, he really wanted to make sure that his friends could afford the watch with his name on it. His friends were working with brands like Audemars Piguet - and while they created some beautif
Bulgari's Bold Move To Integrate With Daniel Roth & Gerald Genta
The pursuit continued of life in the house of troubled luxury brand has a method. Bulgari has recently announced news that should be considered uncommon at the least. In a strange move that I would have never predicted, the Bulgari brand actually eats two other brands that it already owns. The result will be a unified brand in image and manufacture, such that each watch coming from the super brand will have the name "Bvlgari" (Bulgari" as I care to say it) on each watch that is released. A hint in the form of an image depicts a potential result of this "new way" where Bvlgari is seen as the
Montblanc Grand Tourbillon Heures Mysterieuses Is Like A Watch In A Tuxedo
In Villeret Montblanc is feeling very proud of itself. It has gone from making pens, to being a preeminent watch maker. The recent acquisition of popular family owned (previously) Minerva gained Montblanc that ability to tout in-house movements. So now their watches look nice and have lots of bragging rights. While I enjoy some Montblanc watch designs more than others, I can't argue that any of their recent releases are anything less than elegant and well conceived. In celebration of Minerva turning 150 years old, we have the Montblanc Grand Tourbillon Heures Mysterieuses (that is
