Technomarine Steel Evo Carbon Watch Review
The Technomarine Steel Evo Carbon is the first quartz watch that I've picked up in a long time. Being the watch snob that I am, one of the first filters that I apply to a watch to decide if it will merit my interest is?whether?its a quartz or a mechanical. Therefore, for me to even consider a quartz watch to purchase or review, it has to have something really cool about it above and beyond its battery driven heart. I'm not made of stone after all.Well, the fact that this review exists obviously tells you that this watch has made the grade and gotten past my filter. I'm willing to haza
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Table Ronde Watch Fulfills Your Arthurian Dreams
It was only a matter of time before the Roger Dubuis Excalibur watch connected itself a bit more with Arthurian legend. For 2013, the high-end Swiss watch brand and movement manufacture will produce a limited edition version of the Excalibur watch called the "Table Ronde." Somehow I feel that given the super Britishness of the concept, they would have forgone the French name and simply called it "The Round Table." Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Have it known that the US side of Oris's operation is comprised of some very lovely, helpful people. While I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with them at Baselworld 2010, I will be spending more time with their watch collection in June. I was able to get shots of a very cool limited edition piece - the Oris RAID Chronograph. RAID is a rally race of vintage cars. It now takes place in Switzerland and France, and only includes automobiles made before 1975. If you want to learn more about it, just Google it.This should explain the styling of the RAID Chronog
Rebellion T-1000 Watch
Rebellion ups the power reserve ante with REB T-1000 manually wound mechanical movement in the watch with the same name (minus "REB"). Through six barrels the movement stores 1000 hours of power reserve. What I want to know is how long do you need to wind the watch, for it to go from totally unwound to fully wound? Mechanically, the movement isn't super complex. It has been specially designed to be symmetrical, which is interesting. All the "guts" are squeezed in the middle, and the balance wheel has been exposed in a unique way. It reminds me of a flattened Corum Golden Bridge
