Bovet Recital 12 Watch: The Thinnest One Yet
Bovet is a brand I always like to watch carefully because they tend to come up with truly interesting new products and often in a quirky way. What do I mean by quirky? Well let's take their high-end Dimier Recital collection. This year they released a total of four new Recital watches (often it is maybe just one). Those being the Recital 11, 12, 15, and 16. Why no 13 and 14? Well because according to Bovet those are unlucky numbers in one culture or another. Ok then... So, this is the Recital 12 and it uses a new movement concept. It also happens to be the thinnest Recital watch, being
Linde Werdelin SpidoLite II Tech
Linde Werdelin has announced two new limited edition models for their SpidoLite II series of luxury sport watches. The new LW SpidoLite II Tech features two variations of a watch that takes the recognizable SpidoLite II platform and moves it into the next generation as far as case construction and materials are concerned. The SpidoLite II Tech boasts case composition which employs both forged carbon and Linde Werdelin's own ALW, a proprietary metal alloy that is the result of two years worth of research and development. The Tech series shares the same 44 x 15mm case proportions
Hublot Oceanographic 4000 M Diver
Back in January of 2011 I caught a glimpse of a early prototype version of a strange looking Hublot. The case was really big (by Hublot standards), and it has a sci-fi looking black and green dial. I also noticed a large closing cap over one of the crows, and a beefy stance that made me wonder if it was even a real watch. This later turned about to be the Hublot Oceanographic 4000m (4000 M) Diver watch, but I didn't learn that for a few more months. After some time reflecting on the piece, I now reflect on this 'Uber-blot' watch. No modern brand really needs an excuse to create a diver
Cartier Ballon Bleu Extra-Flat Watch
Among Cartier's many new releases for 2011 was this ultra-thin version of the popular Ballon Bleu. I am not totally sure why the Ballon Bleu is so popular. As a women's watch I totally get it. It has a elegant, bubbly beauty to it and some nice rounded curves. I mean the word "balloon" is in the name - at least I think that is what "ballon" means. I could be wrong, I don't know. Regardless of the true translation, the watch collection will always be the "blue balloon" to me - and now it is a bit deflated.Thin profile watches are hot in 2011. There are a lot of reasons for that, but co
Hublot's Tactic With The Blackeyed Bernie Ecclestone Watch Ad
The first thing that came to mind when I first saw this image in an e-mail from Hublot was "wait, what?" I didn't get it. What was this? At first I thought the image of Bernie Ecclestone was some type of painting. I?am not familiar with his face, but I do know of his work as the guy who runs Formula 1 racing. The British Billionaire's face was distorted with a painful looking black eye and other facial bruises. The 80-year-old was recently violently mugged, and among other things, his Hublot King Power F1 watch was stolen.None of this information was placed in the above image send out
