A. Lange & S?hne Saxonia Annual Calendar Platinum Watch Review
As Old Ben Kenobi said while bequeathing to Luke his new lightsaber, ?¡ãAn elegant weapon, for a more civilized age?¡À.? Had he been handing over his old man?¡¥s wristwatch instead of a futures-past laser sword, a single word need only have been changed to properly describe it.? That is, of course, if the timepiece he was handing down was the incredible A. Lange & S?hne Saxonia Annual Calender with Moonphase in Platinum.Alas, young Luke got a lightsaber and not a wristwatch ¡§C but I did.? Thanks to our friends at Lange, I was fortunate to spend some time with this German timepiece over t
Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Tribute To Deep Sea Re-issue Watches
It wasn't until I put this watch (I mean watches) on my wrist, that I understood why Jager-LeCoultre wanted to make it (again). The Memovox Deep Sea was the brand's first real dive watch - made in 1959 until the early 1960s. I read that 1,061 pieces were ever produced. Getting one today (in any condition) is an almost impossible task. And there you have your reason. The history behind the watch is sufficient for JLC to make it again - to offer aficionado's the ability to obtain and un-obtainable watch. Makes sense right? And isn't that what offering a "re-issue" watch is all about.
Paul Picot C-Type Plongeur 48 Ben Spies Limited Edition Watch
When I first saw this new limited edition watch from Paul Picot, I thought that the logo on the dial looked a lot like something from my childhood. Check out the resemblance of Ben's lucky number 11 logo to that of GI Joe. You can't call it copying cause there is so much that looks like that. Military-esque style stars and USA colors? Never been done right? Being a fan of Paul Picot, and GI Jone, I thought I would write about it. Probably cause Ben Spies has a name that sounds like he would be a GI Joe character. I mean his last name is friggin "spies" (yes, I know it is pronounced "sp
The Bell & Ross BR-01 93 GMT Automatic Multi-Timezone Watch
Bell & Ross added a new complication to the BR-01 series with the BR-01 93. The BR-01 93 GMT adds the a second timezone function that is displayed with a second hour hand on a 24 hour graduated bezel. This automatic-winding timepiece is geared towards travelers. By setting the 24 hour clock to Greenwich Meantime, the local time can be calculated and set quickly and simply. The separate hour hands can also be used to display two preset times. The bold, clean BR-01 design lends itself well to the legibility of both times. The automatic movement is the 2893 calibre from ETA, wh
