Withings Activit¡§| Fitness Tracker Device Disguised As An Elegant Timepiece
When it comes to devices to track your activity throughout the day, you've got quite a few different options. Some of these slip into a pocket (which is what I've gone with), and others go on to your wrist, much like a bracelet or, for those with a display, like a watch. Until now, however, none of these wrist-mounted fitness-focused devices have actually looked much like a watch. That changes with the Withings Activit¡§| Fitness Tracker watch. If you didn't know any better, you'd take a look at the Withings Activit¡§| Fitness Tracker, and think it was just another slender and simple watch
Carl F. Bucherer Manero CentralChrono Watch
I spotted this prototype Carl F. Bucherer watch recently and was immediately taken by it. It combines a sense of retro-sport fashion and the function-mind execution that I have come to expect from the brand. I believe the official name for the watch is the Carl F. Bucherer Manero CentralChrono. In a Manero case, the watch is larger on the wrist being about 44-45mm wide (I would guess) and in steel. You can tell that it is available with an almost slate colored dial or a silvered one. The chunky style case is thick and brushed all around. There are polished elements on the dial f
The Gagarin Tourbillon Watch
Ironically enough I was just thinking about BLU, and what ever happened to it? The cool high-end brand did some neat stuff with dials, but I haven't heard anything about them in at least a year or two. Well now I know. BLU's Bernhard Lederer is (BLU = Bernhard Lederer Universe) is on to other projects, and this is it - The Gagarin Tourbillon. To remind you, I last wrote about BLU here (about two years ago). Anyhow, on to The Gagarin Tourbillon. Yes, this watch is an homage to Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. He was blasted into orbit via the Russian Vostok-1 rocket (Vostok is also
Storm Chrono Terrain Watch Review
Storm is probably going to do pretty well with this watch. It isn't very expensive, and it has a cool action-hero style look that will appeal to the masses. I personally was gravitated to it when I first learned of it, and a boyish sense of "I want to put that on" came over me when I saw the angular looking case and second, smaller watch dial that was part of the strap. The look isn't exactly sophisticated, but has a certain unpolished charm to it. It is also a limited edition (of 3000 pieces) - which is a sort of an interesting fact and part of the appeal for some. The case is in ste
Seiko Here I Come: Going To Japan
Japan here I come! Today I leave for a week to the motherland of one of the most popular watch brands in the world. I like that even "non watch people" know exactly what I am talking about when I say "Seiko." I've been invited by them on a media trip, and am going to take pictures and cover it as best I can. My travels there for the week will take me to many places deep into the heart of Seiko, from meeting their master watch makers who lovingly assemble the Spring Drive movements,? to seeing the assembly floor of their rank and file models consumed the world over. The bad news
