Christophe Claret X-TREM-1 Pinball Piece Unique For Only Watch 2013
At Baselworld 2013,?Christophe Claret shared with me images of a new version of the X-Trem-1 called the Pinball. The first of which will be a piece unique to be sold at the Only Watch 2013 charity watch auction event. After the auction, there may be some other color variations of the X-Trem-1 Pinball that will be offered to select Christophe Claret clients but that hans't yet been confirmed. Why "Pinball?" Well if you've noticed, Christophe himself loves gaming. There was the Blackjack 21 watch?that later evolved into the Baccarat watch, with more to come in the future. The Pinball fal
Junghans Meister Handwind Watch
This is the Junghans "Meister Handaufzeug" or "Master Handwinding," a retro and classic dress watch scheduled for release in July of 2012. Based on the ETA/Pesaux 7001 movement, it's rather slim at 7.3mm thick and 37.7mm wide.?The design inspiration is a Junghans models from the 1930s, revamped to celebrate the brands' 150th anniversary. I think they did an admirable job. I really like the crown. Nicely sized for winding and tucked below the domed crystal. The movement is a classic, introduced in 1971 and used in the Blancpain 7002, Omega 651, Nomos Tangente, and many other watches out
MARCH LA.B AM 1 Watch Review
Recently I was flipping through GQ magazine's annual "Style Guide." A special issue of their magazine dedicated to helping helpless male souls "dress better" (not that the advice is all bad, but it is extremely declarative and one-dimensional - though I do realize that assertive, aggressively consultative content does sell copies). Thankfully, the issue had a section on watches, but as it turned out the section was written by fashion editors. Uh oh!. Actually, not everything they said was bad, though it left little room for 'argument.' They more or less offered a "one-size-fits-all" ap
Angular Momentum Illum Aqua Water Sports Watch Is Absolutely Gorgeous Dive-Style Timepiece
I am man enough to admit it. This watch is beautiful, gorgeous even maybe. I keep finding myself consistently impressed with the artistic watches coming out of Angular Momentum, which are not only creative, but straightforward, thus keeping my attention and interest. Instead of staring at the watches for a while to decide whether or not I like them, I immediately know that I like them, then gaze at them to figure out why. I have to say however, that this Angular Momentum is part of its "Water Sports Watch" Collection, which really is a silly name. I don't think about watches where I he
Mystery Tiffany & Co. Diving Watch Is Rare Treat: Partnership With NauticFish, Enza Mechana?
Here is something you don't see everyday. A rare Tiffany & Co. watch that I just can't seem to figure out. I learned of this watch as it is being offered on eBay right now with no end date until someone purchases it. The seller claims that it is a Tiffany & Co. watch built by NauticFish, and I am not sure this is correct. It is true that Tiffany & Co. often rebrands or adds its name to other popular watches sold in its store. It used to do this with Rolex, and currently does with a variety of brands including Baume et Mercier. Further, Tiffany & Co. often outsources wat
