Azimuth SP-1 Landship Watch Review
I am about to review what is essentially a model tank for your wrist that tells the time. The Azimuth SP-1 Landship is a whimsical watch not meant to replace a daily wear, but an interesting part of the larger watch universe that takes into consideration the distinct "hobbyist" form that watch collecting can take. Originally announced a few years ago, the SP-1 Landship made its first live debut back in 2011 (here). Reviewing those hands-on images you can tell that this labor of love project has evolved from its early stages to the final production limited edition run.The watch is inde
Bulgari Octo Watch With Bracelet
The legacy of Gerald Genta continues to live on in multiple forms. We now look at the Octo watch with Bulgari's name on it, that for 2013, comes on a metal bracelet. Where did this story begin? The late designer resided in Monaco before his death (to cancer I believe). I think that while he worked in the watch industry for a large portion of his life, he always had a love/hate relationship with the industry that made him rich. Genta is most known for his work in the 1970s and 80s doing design work for brands such as Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, though he began his brand in 1969.

Once featuring both mechanical and quartz watches, the new Ventura will focus on digital watches and those with interesting quartz movements (if I understand correctly).Ventura was started by Pierre Nobs - who is again running the show. I met with Pierre to check out some of their new stuff. Nobs is more engineer than businessman. He speaks straight an
Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo Watch Review
Back when I was a brand new watch lover I came across something weird called the Freak. I was still too much of a novice to know who or what Ulysse Nardin was, but the strange timepiece stuck in my mind - probably because there was nothing else like it (and still isn't for that matter). Over the years the Freak kept coming back and eventually all the bits and pieces of what it was in full came together for me. I understood this freakish creation and all the innovations contained within it. My time spent trying to appreciate the Freak paid off, and it coincided with my overall horologic
