Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Tribute To Deep Sea Re-issue Watches
It wasn't until I put this watch (I mean watches) on my wrist, that I understood why Jager-LeCoultre wanted to make it (again). The Memovox Deep Sea was the brand's first real dive watch - made in 1959 until the early 1960s. I read that 1,061 pieces were ever produced. Getting one today (in any condition) is an almost impossible task. And there you have your reason. The history behind the watch is sufficient for JLC to make it again - to offer aficionado's the ability to obtain and un-obtainable watch. Makes sense right? And isn't that what offering a "re-issue" watch is all about.
Interview: John Simonian, Wrist Watch Entrepreneur, Owner of Westime Los Angeles
He pointed out the outline of tape on the floor. ?¡ãThat will be my desk.?¡À He preferred I not take pictures of him at his temporary desk. The big issue being power consumption, that I did of course mention. 100% even did exactly what I suggested they do, and that is display the time "on demand." This way you can maximize battery life by only displaying the LED lights when you want to see them (by pressing some button most likely) - saving bat
A Watch For Superheroes: The Linde Werdelin Two-Timer Biformeter Watch Review
I recall that as a kid, I was often really excited about the toy versions of items and implementations I'd seen in movies or comic books. The 'play' version of the Ghostbusters' photon pack just didn't remind me enough of the real ones on the screen, and the kid's Batman utility belt just didn't have enough utility, though it was booming with plasticine charm. I just never found anything 'real' enough to satisfy the desires I had (and probably still have) to live out fantasy adventures. What are we provided with in real life to live out adventures now? Really utilitarian stuff mostly.
