Breitling Chronomat GMT New Model!
Breitling has finally released a new movement (sort of) with their 04 class! It resides in the new Breitling Chronomat GMT, which is just the day before. Its a terrible 47 mm Chronomat with a GMT complication. And as the Rolex GMT II and of the Omega Seamaster, the main hand of 12 hours is used for the local time and is indexed on the date, so it can more easily be used for travel. A nice touch and a good blow on a part of the Breitling do that instead the opposite is much less useful for travel. The only thing which lack this watch is a window 24 hours a day. Instead, you get a diving-account countdown bezel and 24-hour scale is printed on the dial. However, I think more interesting is the possibility that buyers can now purchase a Chronomat in a larger format 47 mm.
Mondaine SBB Vintage Limited Edition Watch
Mondaine is a brand that I quite like from a design and price standpoint, but unfortunately, the last several years have seen very little new from the typically strong brand. A few years ago they started to test with sport models, and had even started to include tritium gas tubes into the hands of a lot of their watches. You can see an aBlogtoWatch review of a Mondaine Sport Chronograph here, and a review of a more subtle Mondaine sport model here. These are both low-priced, but high-value timepieces with a look that is all about the traditional Swiss SBB Railways clock. If you recall
Girard-Perregaux Vintage Pocket Watches
According to Girard-Perregaux, the brand's beginnings started in the late 18th century. I believe the Girard-Perregaux name began being used during the 19th century. Clearly one of the older watch brands, Girard-Perregaux has an interesting history and collection of vintage pieces with its name on them.In New York recently, I sat down with Girard-Perregaux to see some watches I had not yet been able to get my hands on. Though I soon learned these were vintage pieces. While I am intrinsically more interested in new things, I felt that the unique beauty and craftsmanship of these Girard
Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Tourbillon Grande Date Watch Is Best Tourbillon Of SIHH 2011
A few years ago I decided that I was no longer really impressed with tourbillons. It isn't that tourbillons are not special or complicated, but the deluge of tourbillons from every brand able to buy one from BNB Concept (now defunct) or Concepto, etc... made the tourbillon game too easy. They just lost their rarity and sense of importance. The mystery behind their function, and the allure of their complicated movements was lost in their sheer availability, and often laugh-inducing prices. So I just stopped caring about tourbillons for a bit. Then a neo-tourbillon renaissance started to
Last Chance To Enter And Win The Pulsar Automatic Watch
I think there has been some misunderstanding. A surprisingly low number of people entered to win the Puslar Men's Automatic watch. This really cool dress watch that has Pulsar made automatic movement, and is a nice 45mm wide in size. Pulsar is a Seiko group owned brand, and this timepiece is a glowing example of a modern, traditional Japanese mechanical dress watch. You can't sport a sport watch all the time? Retail price is $250. You have just a bit of time to enter before the giveaway ends at the end of August.Enter to win the Pulsar Men's Automatic Watch here. See more articles a
