The Ferrari Speedmaster Chronography for instance has earned a name for itself
When it came to precision swiss watch manufacturing Ferrari has always been the forerunner. The Ferrari Speedmaster Chronography for instance has earned a name for itself for being the first watch that was worn to moon. During the 1960s the North American Space Association (NASA) consistently used these hand-wound mechanical Speedmaster wrist watches for all their missions in the outer space. This fact in itself bears a pertinent testimony to the superior function and design of the Ferrari watches.
Louis Cartier followed his success with the Santos
Louis Cartier followed his success with the Santos when he designed and released the Tank in 1917, inspired, appropriately, by the design of the Renault tanks used in the First World War. Cartier presented the prototype to General John Pershing of the American Expeditionary Force. Cartier expanded on the simple square of the Santos; the Tank features a square watch in a rectangular case with its straps hidden under vertical sidepieces. The watch features blued, sword shaped hands with a winding crown that is topped with a sapphire.

Daniel Strom Angelus Watch
If you fancy a watch with engraved feathers and what look like naked male mannequins, the new Angelus by Daniel Strom could be perfect for you.? This timepiece is the thematic antecedent to the previous Daniel Strom Agonium that came out about two years ago. The Agonium focused on imagery of skulls and death (I called it the ultimate goth watch), while the Angelus is about angels - yet it still feels rather Gothic.Daniel Strom hand-sculpts the design on the tonneau style case, and it is available in pretty much any luxury metal you want. Sorry, no steel or titanium models. Why? Too ha
IWC: The Book, The Manufacture
I did a survey on Luxist within the last year that was a survey of the ?¡ãbest?¡À luxury watch brands according to the site?¡¥s readers who participated in the poll. I had to choose five brands, and among those was IWC. With a strong, focused product line, and an emphasis on performance and gentlemen?¡¥s sport activity, I felt that the brand resonated particularly well with American audiences. While such polls aren?¡¥t hard science, the result was that Luxist readers felt that IWC was the best luxury watch brand. Beating the likes of others such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet.IWC
