Audemars Piguet are all inlaid nicely with carbon fiber
In the middle, the pattern changes to look like a race track curve, a bit like a flag, or perhaps the Microsoft Windows logo (surely the latter). The 44-45mm wide case came in titanium or steel and was made in the 'carbon fiber' era (as I call it). In terms of case size, I am not totally sure, but I think the gold model was a bit larger than the titanium model. The bezel on the top and sides are all inlaid nicely with carbon fiber. This also applied to the chronograph pusher housings on sides of the watch. The chronograph pushers on this model were originally meant to look like gas pedals, but have since been used so much that forget their original theme. I love the woven stitching on the alligator strap. Supposed to look like a racing suit, but (especially on the titanium model) reminds me of a Spiderman web.
Breguet Reine De Naples 8958 Cammea Watch has remarkable quality
Her collection has many remarkable quality, but most remarkable is the A.-L.Breguet created in 1812 to play a built-in thermometer spring watch. This is called a watch to open up the work: the people used to watch through the observation of their time on the dial to understand the times, A.-L.Breguet created for the Queen of Naples, the world's first wrist Watch.
The most recent shows of Audemars Piguet is the Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team chronograph. Carbon showcase watches
Nautically inspired details include a six-hour counter reddened to 06, twenty minutes 09 counter has a hand grindstone in the shape of the prow of a ship and the Alinghi logo which takes place usually reserved for the numeral 03.
Nomos Metro Watch
Nomos is a small German brand that is hell-bent on doing things their own way. They have a unique style derived from?the Deutscher Werkbund movement and Bauhaus aesthetic and, since their birth shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall, they have stuck to their principles and developed an identify for producing distinctive and well-made watches that rely on an almost entirely in-house manufacturing process.Last year, Nomos introduced the sport-ready Ahoi and 38 mm sizing for the Tangente, Ludwig and Orion models (I reviewed the Orion 38 here). This year, not only did Nomos show
Van Barnett Time Machine Knife
This knife doesn't tell the time but it sure looks like it should. American artist and knife maker Van Barnett calls this steampunk style creation the Time Machine. It is a collectible hand-made knife with a lot of old-timey futuristic personality. Barnett incorporates watch parts into the beautifully cool folding knife creation - which are more or less sold out for years and made individually by him (often with meaningful personalizations for each buyer, according to his website). He makes only a four of these per year and is so sold out far enough that he isn't taking new orders.
