Chaumet "Dandy metronome Edition" will be limited to only 100 pieces
Placed in a case of Dandy watch, "Dandy metronome Edition" will be limited to only 100 pieces and in a case of white gold 18 k. I love the black and white contrast means to resemble piano keys. You can see the small metronome through a window in the dial placed at the bottom of the face centered off watch.
Corum Ti-Bridge Power Reserve Watch
For some reason, all of 2012 went by without us posting a single article on Corum on aBlogtoWatch. I personally covered the brand on other sites such as Departures-International, during that year, but it was all quiet on this front. So here is a piece I should have covered last year but at least I am getting to it now. This is probably the most interesting and useful of Corum's masculine Ti-Bridge collection of watches. It is the Ti-Bridge 3 Day Power Reserve (which I will just refer to as the "Ti-Bridge Power Reserve") and there is a lot to like about it if you are into the style
Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200M Watch Review
An ad for the original Omega Ploprof stated, "It may not look pretty on the surface, but deep down it's beautiful." It is a curious statement for an official advertisement, but well sums up a lot of what the original early 1970s super diver was all about. Omega was one of the lead innovators along with Rolex in the market to supply serious professional divers (most notably the likes of Jacques Cousteau) with reliable diving watch instruments. In its heyday, the Ploprof (a contraction of "Plongeur Professional") was an extremely advanced tool based on years of development.Omega achieve
Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve 2010 Watch Award Winners
Last night was the watch industry's annual big award show gala event - the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG). These are our Oscars, and the 2010 winners are interesting. A few surprises, and a lot of watches that just keep winning. I was invited to the ceremony, but was unfortunately unable to stick around in Europe long enough after my last trip to go this year. Next year I will go, and might just sport a Timex!Surprises that I am happy to see? Seiko won the prize for the best Sports Watch with the Spring Drive Spacewalk Commemorative Edition watch. MB&F won for best Desig
Vulcain Watches At L'Heure Asch In Geneva
One of my favorite under represented Swiss watch brands is Vulcain. I have written about them before, for example here when I discussed how the brand gives one of their watches to each new US president (specifically it was for Obama). That watch happened to be Vulcain's new Anniversary Heart watch which is pictured here. Isn't it nice?Vulcain watches are really rare. I believe there are some authorized dealers in the US, but I haven't been to any of them. I got to check out these watches at L'Heure Asch in Geneva. Denis Asch, the proprietor of the shop is probably the most respected i
