a new Bulgari Daniel Roth technically and aesthetically sophisticated timepiece
At Baselworld 2010, watch connoisseurs were pleased to witness the appearance of a new Bulgari Daniel Roth technically and aesthetically sophisticated timepiece - the Tourbillon Chrono Rattrapante. The split-second chronograph function provided by the movement is shown by two seconds hands in the center: the traditional chronograph hand and the superimposed split-second hand. When you switch on the chronograph push-button, the two hands start moving at once - they are ideally synchronized.
The Victorinox Opera Time-Piece
The Victorinox Opera Time-Piece is secured to the wrist on a hand-sewn Mississippi alligator leather strap. No doubt, aimed at passionate watch collectors, the unique minute repeater timepiece will be limited to just 12 piece. The masterpiece of watchmaking is promised to be delivered in a veneered wooden box that looks like a reproduction of the Bastille Opera House in Paris. Nobody will be surprised by the price - 1, 200 000 US dollars.

When it comes to watches from Magrette, you know precisely what you're getting from their lineup. Interestingly, from a price perspective, it opens up a bit below the Girard-Perregaux model, so let's see how it pans out.At Baselworld 2013 James Stacey and I spent time with Gucci to check out their new wares. Citizen Promaster Split Second Timer SST 1/1000 Of A Second Race Chronograph Watch: Reason That Electronic Is Best For Timing
I read a lot about new advancements in mechanical watch timing technology. Stopwatches are chronographs, and come in probably 100 different forms. In my opinion the two most important aspects of a chronograph function is how long it times for, and in what increments. Most high-end mechanical chronographs measures increments of 1/8th of a second. Not bad, but they are hard to read for precision, and you'll certainly pay for the privilege. Add in such complications as split-second chronographs, and flyback mechanisms, and you get very complicated and outrageously priced timing tools. Fun
