The Diapal name refers to a diamond palette system used instead of jewels between the gears. The system is so "slippery" that the movement needs no oil to lubricate these areas. The whole idea beyond just looking cool is to allow the watch to go much longer between servicing. This watch retails for over $3,000 and is basically impossible to get in a lot of situations.
