Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces
Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces and combines with the modern of the Speedmaster case look. It is an interesting drop-down list box. You also get the logo style vintage Omega red. The needle of the hours arrow blend well with the needle of the minutes dagger and the old style numerals. The tachometer bezel complements the Speedmaster character. The back of the watch probably has some etching on the theme of the Olympic Games. The size is probably about 42 mm wide and the watch will be steel. Inside of the watch is Omega co-axial 3888 calibre automatic movement - which is likely to certified chronometer. Functions more or less include a 12-hour chronograph and day date calendar. A very cool and functional design perfectly awaken our thoughts of Omega and the Olympic Games. Only thing they have left was the logo of Olympic rings as the counterweight on the chronograph seconds hand - but that he would have obstructed the dial too. Price will be available early next year of
Van Barnett Time Machine Knife
This knife doesn't tell the time but it sure looks like it should. American artist and knife maker Van Barnett calls this steampunk style creation the Time Machine. It is a collectible hand-made knife with a lot of old-timey futuristic personality. Barnett incorporates watch parts into the beautifully cool folding knife creation - which are more or less sold out for years and made individually by him (often with meaningful personalizations for each buyer, according to his website). He makes only a four of these per year and is so sold out far enough that he isn't taking new orders.
Richard Mille RM030 Watch
The new complication here in the Richard Mille RM 030 is quizzical to me. The idea is that the automatic rotor detaches from winding the mainspring is full. The mainspring has a total power reserve of 50 hours, when it gets down to 40 hours, the rotor reattaches thanks to a type of clutch. Why? To theoretically assist with keeping the movement as safe as can be. Leave it to the people who make watches for use in tennis matches to consider the happiness of little machines. The irony makes me smile. I do love the clean face that still feels highly functional. I'd sport it.Read my full a
Amazon Launches Wearable Technology Store For Smartwatches
The Internet's largest retailer, Amazon, has just launched a new section of their site dedicated to wearable technology with a heavy emphasis on smartwatches. The wearable technology pages introduce some of the newer tools that Amazon has been deploying above and beyond mere product listings. Included in the section are buying guides, videos, and other educational items meant to help consumers make sense of the arguably complicated and rapidly changing available devices and services.Even though smartwatches and other wearable technology is arguably still a new and emerging tec
De Bethune Dream Watch IV iPhone 4S Luxury Case
De Bethune has released what I think is probably the most high-end and beautiful iPhone 4s case I have ever seen. They started last year I think with phone cases when they released the classy looking De Bethune DBM. That case was in alligator and has a traditionally styled clock style watch in the back of it. This new case is totally futuristic and looks like your iPhone 4S is now a spaceship. Called the Dream Watch IV, the watch dial itself build off of the one-of-a-kind watch De Bethune made for the Only Watch 2011 auction.Limited to just 12 pieces the Dream Watch IV iPhone 4
