Official 24: Live Another Day Wrist Watch From Show Will Be Available Soon
This isn't just the official timepiece for 24: Live Another Day, but a watch that will be featured in the show, as well as one that people will be able to buy starting in the summer of 2014. What makes the 24: Live Another Day CTU watch interesting is that Fox Studios commissioned a totally original item and it isn't from a major brand. This makes a lot of sense for a television series so involved in tracking time, and it is cool to see the producers engage in such efforts. In fact, if you haven't watched 24 before, you should know that each season is designed to more or less track the
Arnold & Son TB88 Inside Out Watch
Now here is an interesting new watch that I wasn't expecting from UK based Arnold & Son. The concept is that the movement is "inside out," well sort of. Basically what you see on the dial is typically what you would see on the rear of the watch. Arnold & Son isn't the first to offer a watch that applies this concept, but their new TB88 does that and has a few more tricks up its (exposed) sleeve."TB88" sounds like some super mutated version of tuberculosis. I don't want to contract TB88! There should have been a better name. TB actually stands for "True Beat," which is Arnold a
Hajime Asaoka Tourbillon Watch
I am not too familiar with independent Japanese watch makers. There are lots of smaller brands making timepieces in Japan aside from the big three (Seiko, Casio, and Citizen), but most of those are less expensive or novelty pieces. Here is a high-end independent Japanese watch maker you should be familiar with named Hajime Asaoka - with a brand of the same name. His watch is the simply named Hajime Asaoka Tourbillon and it is a very attractive timepiece. The design is actually more architectural and art deco than it is traditionally Japanese. Not that there is anything wrong with that,
Harry Winston Ocean Sport Collection Watches
Harry Winston will soon launch this new collection of watches called the Ocean Sport. While I don't think the name sounds particularly high-end (though the Ocean is a long standing Harry Winston watch), they are interesting are relatively simple and satisfying sport versions of the iconic Harry Winston Ocean watch fare. The Ocean Sport will have a few versions, and pieces for both men and women. Style wise they feel very much influenced by some Roger Dubuis pieces from the last few years. Does anyone else see that? What connects each of the Ocean Sport watches is an aesthetic theme as
4N MVT01/D01/42 Watch
Poor us who would love to wear this watch but cannot afford it (now or ever). A truly cool design that I think will appeal to a legion of watch lovers and traditionally non-watch lovers, alike. The time is told in a simple digital manner on four discs. Because there are four numerals (assume it said like 11:25 for the full four numbers). And this is why the brand is called 4N. I think it is sort of funny how brands come about with a plan of just selling one watch. Basically, all future 4N watches can only have 4 numerals right? You see this type of one watch brand pretty often i
