Hamilton Reveals The Khaki Pilot Pioneer Aluminum, A With Their First Watch In Aluminum
In their latest line comprising four watches and called the Khaki Pilot Pioneer Aluminum, Hamilton announces its first ever pieces cased in this interesting, yet unlikely metal.Aluminum is a material that is broadly used in numerous high-tech industries, such as car and airplane manufacturers. It's been long-relied upon for its relative lightness, resistance to corrosion and overall durability compared to other, similarly expensive metals. Still, it is a seldom used material in the watchmaking industry, primarily because it is very difficult to craft and also because it requires speci
Patek Philippe 5235 Annual Calendar Regulator Watch
I was really happy to get my hands on a Patek Philippe Ref. 5235 watch. It apparently wasn't ready in time to show people at Baselworld 2012. Patek shared with me that the reason for this was the dial. There is a specially engraved Patek Philippe name logo that needed to be done just right. When they say " World's Greatest Watchmakers" that's not just hyperbole (as is too often present in the superlative watch industry). Th
Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster X-Lume Watch
This is the star new Ball watches of the year in my opinion. This timepiece is a smooth evolution of the Hydrocarbon watch design. It combines so much of what I like about Ball watches and presents it in a nicely refined package that I certainly feel has the quality of a new classic for the brand. No doubt there will be spin-offs on this design for a while to come. I recently discussed some Ball watches that I like when I was visiting with Ball in Las Vegas here. Enough of you commented positively that I realized I was not alone in appreciating this brand. Which means that I think enou
