Watch Winner Follow-Up: Wryst Airborne FW3
This is a follow-up review from Derique Y. in Singapore, winner of the Wryst Airborne FW3 Limited Edition watch giveaway on aBlogtoWatch in May.I've been following aBlogtoWatch (formerly aBlogtoRead) for many years now, lapping up sweet images of watches that I could probably never afford, and half the time trying to imagine that hairy arm of Ariel's is mine instead.Every now and then, aBlogtoWatch will throw out a watch for someone to win. Participating was simple, commenting on the post and liking some pages. I once commented on a giveaway and just like every other lucky draw I've
Maurice de Mauriac Watches Now Available With New Movement
Zurich-based watch brand Maurice de Mauriac will now begin to offer a special new movement in all of their watches which are built to accept Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movements. Sourced from Concepto (the Jacquet family) the new movements are like super 7750s.The new movements are built on a Valjoux 7750 foundation and are interchangeable with the famous workhorse from ETA. Piaget is an often misunderstood watch brand because of their status as a high-
Tourbillon Enlargement: The Rodolphe Instinct 5456 Big Tourbillon Watch
After talking about the world's smallest tourbillon, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about one that was twice as large. The Rodolphe Instinct has a tourbillon that is 23mm wide (the smallest so far is 11.3mm wide). The width of the case is 56mm and is 54mm high. Really massive, and able to hold the complex movement. The watch is purely mechanical but displays the hours and minutes digitally using rotating cylinders, which I find very effective. Then, there is also a power reserve indicator that is also featured on a rotating cylinder. On the left side you have the massive tour
