Antoine Martin Tourbillon Astronomique Watch Is $565,000
Antoine Martin has rightfully earned itself a special place in the heart of hardcore watch enthusiasts with their Slow Runner piece and its huge, gracefully oscillating balance wheel exposed at the caseback. But there is another side to the brand, one that offers more traditional complications, re-interpreted to fit into the rather well-defined styling cues of the brand. In 2012, Ariel went hands-on with their perpetual calendar and tourbillon model, and today we are debuting the Tourbillon Astronomique, a watch they also refer to as their "Masterpiece No. 1". Black Belt Spirit Watch Review
"Wow, this packaging is really neat!" Is what I thought to myself opening up the Black Belt Spirit watch from... Black Belt watches - the brain-child of Yvan Arpa. The thick little box was filled with protective cloth that looks to be cut-up and re-purposed karate gi (karate outfit). There was a nice branded USB drive with the instructions and warranty info, and of course "the agreement." Overall the presentation was much better than you'd find in most sub $300 watches. What is "the agreement?" I will get to that in a second. If you recall, the original Black Belt Watch was (is) made

The latter part of the name referring to the fact that back when air travel was still a somewhat glamorous event, airport lounges often had stylized maps of the world - often with indications of what time it was all over the globe. When the "world became smaller" and travel more accessible to pajama pants wearing travelers, flying started to suck. You pretty much need to be on a private jet or fly business class
IWC Portuguese Chrono Automatic Jackie Chan Limited Edition Available On JamesList
JamesList never fails to impress with me with interesting and appealing watches. My latest find is this Jackie Chan Limited Edition IWC Portuguese Chrono Automatic watch - really nice. Here is the background: so Mr. Chan has a charity called "the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation" (clever name I know). And this watch was part of an effort to raise money, through sales most likely. I honestly don't know the exact connection with the foundation and the watch, but THERE IS a connection. How do I know? A little detective work here; it says "For the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation"
