the Alain Silberstein Company came out with the first calculator to use solenoids
Since it is obvious that Mr. Kashio was an inventive sort of man, it only took a little while for him to decide to explore different products. At the business show in Ginza, Japan in 1949, he discovered electronic calculators. With the proceeds from the sale of the yubiwa pipes, Mr. Kashio and his brothers began to experiment with making their own calculators. At the time, most calculators were run by the use of gears. With diligence and hard work, the Alain Silberstein Company came out with the first calculator to use solenoids. The new type of calculator went on sale in 1954. This calculator also was the first to have the 10 digit keypad and had only one display window as opposed to the competitors' that had three.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Chronograph watch to your door
Although many models of Dubuis bold creations are definitively acquired tastes, nothing can deny the quality of watchmaking. Recently, we have our hands on a chronograph Excalibur caressing. After all, it is not every day that FedEx dropped a watch $ 28,000 to your door.
Zenith Captain Winsor Annual Calendar Watch Review
When you think of Zenith watches, what's the first thing that comes to mind? It's very likely the term "El Primero," as that's been one of the most famous movements (and product lines) in their history. And frankly, after my first exposure to the El Primero, in the form of today's review piece, I can certainly see why. With it, you get classic styling combined with some very nice functionality, courtesy of the complications included in the movement.I've reviewed quite a few different dress chronographs over the last year, and each seems to have their own particular strengths. With the
Christopher Ward C20 Lido Automatic Watch Review
This is the Christopher Ward C20 Lido (Ref. C20SST). A tribute to the 1960s watch designs of IWC and others, to me it bears a likeness to the IWC Ingenieur, especially the bezel and lugs:Which is fine with me. I've long admired the Ingenieur, but the price is an obstacle, and I actually dislike their bezel - five screw holes? Why not 12, like Christoper Ward did? At least then they're hour markers. Anyway, back to the Lido. The Lido first came out last year in a quartz version, still available and a fine choice for gifts and those not afflicted with the mechanical movement obse
Maurice de Mauriac Summer 2011 Chronograph Modern Watches
Here is a little watch porn for you in the form of two new Maurice de Mauriac Chronograph Modern watch styles. I have covered the Chronograph Modern watches before but Maurice de Mauriac keeps coming out with upgrades and new styles. The first one here is a version of the Le Mans 53 in black with a case fitted alligator strap - really slick. Next is a stealthier version of the Chronograph Modern with a blue chronograph seconds hand and a cool new woven leather strap - much as was done by Bedat & Co.The Chronograph Modern models come in a variety of styles and sizes that are
