The movement breathes life into the functions, presented on a blue dial in monochrome relief. Reminiscent of the ocean waves, it captures the time with black and white skeletonized hour and minute hands, highlighted with Superluminova. Taking care of seconds is a red hand. The indexes are also applied with Superluminova. When designing this i-Gucci watch I have a feeling I know what Gucci was aiming for. The goal was probably to produce a Casio that hip urban fashion types want to wear... Those that for whatever reason don't want to wear a Casio. Compared to your standard G-Shock, the i-Gucci is more sleek, has a metal case, more simple dial, and looks less like a piece of modern Japanese technology. Devon Tread 2 Watch Preview
In a few weeks California-based Devon will unveil the follow-up version to their now famous Devon Tread 1 watch. It was originally explained to me that the Tread 2 watch would be a more simple and inexpensive model. It looks as though a lot of that has changed, but what I do think is still part of the Tread 2 based on early information is that it will have two treads versus three. Silicon for the win! The material that has had watch brands debating and experimenting is here to stay and Patek Philippe is making sure of that. News from the big guys in Switzerland says that they intend for all Patek Philippe watches in the future to have Silinvar (their type of silicon) parts.
