Vintage Breguet Type XX Watches
Breguet Type XX 40mm from 1975I recently had the pleasure of being invited to look at a rare collection of vintage Breguet aviator watches and was treated to an uncommonly good time with old timepieces. While vintage watch love is deep amongst this (watch enthusiasts) crowd, it is the rare historic and interesting timepieces that really excite me on a tactile basis. Sure I can appreciate most vintage timepieces for their design and what they mean as part of the evolution of the watch, but I am not particularly interested in wearing vintage watches on my wrist. Seiko Prospex Landmaster Alpinist Spring Drive Watch
Those of us who coveted the limited edition, super-expensive Seiko Spacewalk watch have a new hope. Check out the Seiko Prospex Landmaster Alpinist SBDB007 and SBDB005. Now in 2011 much of that has changed. The world is now different for better or for worse. Different being the key term, especiall
Casio Pathfinder PAW-2000 Watch Is Coming
I got a chance to check this watch out briefly at JCK in early June. It is pretty cool and and update to the Casio Pathfinder PAW-1500 watch that I reviewed favorably here. This is the Pathfinder PAW-2000 and represents a nice incremental improvement over the PAW-1500. The PAW-2000 watch is actually thinner and has a few more functions. I didn't even think it was possible to make this watch any thinner, but Casio did it. A major new elements is the duplex LCD screen(s). This isn't the first time Casio has done this, but the application is welcome here. What does that mean? Well basical
