Swiss luxury watch brand Franck Muller has recreated its Ellipsocurvex Papillon watch
Swiss luxury watch brand Franck Muller has recreated its Ellipsocurvex Papillon watch. Now, the timepiece reveals not only the ingenuity of the one-of-a-kind mechanical time display but also the beauty of elegant gem-setting.The red gold watch sparkles with black and white round brilliant diamonds, while the white gold watch is adorned with diamonds and blue sapphires.
Zenith Stratos Flyback Blue Watch
For 2013 Zenith follows the blue road to release a blue-dialed version of the already well-regarded El Primero Stratos Flyback Watch. We first debuted the Zenith Stratos watch when it originally came out in 2011. 2013 sees a lot of blue watches, something that I personally have no problem with as a nice blue sports watch can look fantastic. And isn't that just the thing we have here? The blue bezel on blue dial with white and not a hint of red make for a airy-looking Stratos that looks primed for the sky.The typically red chronograph seconds hand is a lighter sky blue color on this mo
Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Deep Quest 3000m Diver Watch
The popularity of dive watches means that there are always going to be lots of new ones each year. One of my favorite new ones for 2011 is from Ball, and it is the Engineer Hydrocarbon Deep Quest 3000m diver. I will just call it the "Ball 3000m" diver for short. This super diver is water resistant to 3000 meters and carries Ball's signature cool engineered looks. Chunky and legible, it shouldn't be too expensive to boot.I don't know all the details yet, but I will tell you what I know. Size is at least 45mm wide, and as you can see the watch is quite thick. Ball is offer
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor Chronograph Watch Available On James List
This is either the weirdest or coolest Audemars Piguet watch around depends on your point of view. This is the $50,000 plus Royal Oak Offshore Survivor - a watch meant to look like it can survive the next 5 or so world wars - being worn by the heroes of battle. Conversely, this is the bad-ass watch that will help you in your fight against the Predator, or other such daring feats of Hollywood-esque escapades that you might encounter on a daily basis. At least you looking at the watch will make you feel as though can actually do these things. Otherwise it is just another well made watch.
Concord C1 QuantumGravity Movement (And Whatever Upcoming Watch) Annoys Me
My problems with Concord all started with the "revitalization" of the brand a few years ago when the Concord C1 watch line was released. I wrote this article discussing how (and why) I didn't care for the design of the C1. The brand keeps coming out with new watches all based on the C1, some more hideous that others. Then came out the vertically aligned tourbillon watch, and most recently, the tourbillon version of the Concord C1 will be supplemented with this new movement, the C1 QuantumGravity - and I am thoroughly annoyed by it.It is funny, because other watches and watch co
