Bell & Ross BR02-94 Marine Chronograph Watch Review
Bell & Ross is not what I would call an underdog brand, but their BR02 dive watch certainly has been an underdog. Not appreciated to its full extent, this is a really cool timepiece that deserves a bit of extra attention. I don't recall the exact year the BR02 made its debut, but it was on the coattails of the BR01 at the height of its popularity. Moving their attention from the air to the sea, Bell & Ross wanted to release a novel diver watch instrument.Previous dive pieces in their collection such as the Hyrdomax were quartz-based and filled with oil. An attractive piece, th
Harry Winston Opus Eleven Watch
With another year comes another Harry Winston Opus watch. As we eagerly anticipate the result per annum, 2011 reveals itself as being a shockingly good season for the collection. Back in 2000 the Opus collection started as a series of limited edition timepieces that were a collaboration between Harry Winston and a single famous watch maker (go here to see all of them). This year the Opus man is watch maker Denis Giguet of MCT, who created the amazin

I don't love all Breitling watches - far from it. Though I have always been a fan of the "new" Superocean watch collection, which for me ironically started with the Superocean Heritage watch collection. Be it the three-hand or the chronograph, those are awesome watches. Vintage watches tend to be smaller, but the vintage inspired Superocean Heritage was 46mm wide. Oddly enough, the futuristic looking new Superocean for 2010 watch is 42mm wide. Hmm.... At 42mm wide it is a very wearable watch. Doesn't have that wrist jarring visual "pop" that many larger Breitling watches have, but thes
Pi Watch By Ben McCarthy Review
Proof that a nice watch doesn't need to come from major watch brand is right here in this artsy timepiece created by Australian designer Ben McCarthy. The watch was "industrialized" by the also Australian firm WORKSHOPPED, who is in the business of making beautiful creations come to life, and then offering them to you. McCarthy is an interesting fellow and industrial designer who makes clearly "modernist" designs, but always seems to emphasis core function in his work. As though it would pain him if form ever beat out function. I applaud this allegiance to the core concept that the th
