De Bethune DB28 Digitale Watch
It's hard to deny the raw wow factor of a De Bethune watch, especially those of the expanding DB28 range. De Bethune's wild celestial designs always find a striking balance between the delusional and the jaw dropping. Not ones to waste the limelight of an event like SIHH, De Bethune has selected the Geneva show for the launch of their latest DB28 variant - the Digitale, and it's an absolute stunner. Featuring a digital jumping hours display with radial minutes and a centrally mounted moon phase, the Digitale takes the DB28 in a completely different and entirely charming direction.

Xetum Limited Edition Carbon Fiber Tyndall Watch
It's been a long, long two years since Xetum had their last limited-edition model. As with their last LE model, they've opted to use their Tyndall model as the base for this new one. ?Even if you're not intimately familiar with the brand, you've no doubt seen the Tyndall with its clean, lugless design. ?So, what's different for this new version?Right off the bat, you've got a much darker watch. ?While the regular Tyndall is in a brushed/polished case, the new LE features a deep PVD black. ?While they could have paired that with their existing black dial, Xetum upped the ante and inste
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980 Watch
New Patek Philippe watches for 2010 didn't exactly make me jump for joy, but I did like the two new additions to the Nautilus collection. No new movements, but new implementations in the Nautilus cases. Here is the Nautilus Chronograph (ref. 5980 in steel and 5980R in gold), and I also liked the Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726 that I wrote about here. What I like about the layout of the Patek Philippe Caliber CH 280520 C is that is it is a 12 hour chronograph that looks like a watch with only a subsidiary seconds dial (more or less) - and is still easy to read. Pretty nice looking a
Mondaine Sportline Alarm Watch Quick Review: Easy Time Reminder
I picked up a Mondaine Sportline Alarm watch in black recently. I'd known about the "Swiss Railways" watch company before, but never took the opportunity to own one. They have an appearance similar to Xemex watches, which I tend to really like (I do own a Xemex Offroad with Arabic numerals). Both watches have what they like to think of as being minimalist designs focusing on legibility and what I see as friendliness. Enjoying my Xemex, I thought I would finally try out a Mondaine. I picked up a Sportline Alarm with the black face (Model # 94205). I'd not owned too many analog alarm wat
