Breguet Pocket Watch: Antique 2567, No. 5 Replica, And 1907BA
There are two types of luxury watch brands today when it comes to a history of value. There are some brands which ascended to a luxury position after being a tool or instrument watchmaker for many years. This often occurs when their products or technology is technically outdated, but there is still a high-level of appreciation for their products. So to remain in business, these companies reduce production, ideally increase quality, and sell their items as enthusiast products. This is the case for many of today's luxury watches brands. The quartz watch revolution forced them to go up, o
Vianney Halter Deep Space (9) Tourbillon Watch Is Trekkie's Wet Dream
Vianney Halter?gained famed for his unorthodox design and arguable creation of the high-end?steampunk watch market. A known science fiction junkie, Halter's mixed reputation in the watch industry ranges from positive concerning his vision, to negative concerning his follow-through in "completing" his work. After many years of relative silence (about seven), Halter returns with a new watch called the Deep Space Tourbillon that is a less than subtle homage to his love of Star Trek.Specifically, the Deep Space Tourbillon watch is meant to look much like the Deep Space 9 space station fro
Erwin Sattler Thesaurus - Ultimate Watch Lover's Desk
OMG, how did I miss this release last year!? I recently learned about the Erwin Sattler Thesaurus desk, and my horology gland nearly burst. OK, so this is the ultimate watch lover's desk. It combines a pair of Erwin Sattler Rotalis winders that pop out of the surface of the desk " take-over-the-world villain" style, and drawers that store you watch related loot.? I have no idea why it is called the "Thesaurus," but I will need to one help explain how awesome this thing is.Part of what makes it awesome is just how utterly impractical it is. To have enough room in one's home for
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial Chronograph Teak Concept Dial Watches
I recently mentioned the brother of this watch which has a 24-hour hand. That was the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial GMT Chronograph watch. Take out the "GMT" and you have this model. Of which, there are actually going to be only a few. There will be the pictured two-tone model in steel and rose gold, a white gold model, an all steel model, and a all rose gold model. This is arguably a more marketable model than the GMT given the more conservative and "Omega" looks of this watch. The GMT had a controversial bezel, while the smooth polished bezel of this Aqua Terra Chronograph is m
Citizen Promaster Split Second Timer SST 1/1000 Of A Second Race Chronograph Watch: Reason That Electronic Is Best For Timing
I read a lot about new advancements in mechanical watch timing technology. Stopwatches are chronographs, and come in probably 100 different forms. In my opinion the two most important aspects of a chronograph function is how long it times for, and in what increments. Most high-end mechanical chronographs measures increments of 1/8th of a second. Not bad, but they are hard to read for precision, and you'll certainly pay for the privilege. Add in such complications as split-second chronographs, and flyback mechanisms, and you get very complicated and outrageously priced timing tools. Fun
