One of the latest old names in watch making to be brought back is L. Leroy, this time under the Festina Group that also owns Perrelet as well as watch movement maker Soprod. L. Rado D-Star 200 Dive Watches
While I like this new watch range a lot I am torn because it is a Rado without being a modern Rado. What do I mean? Well for the last long while Rado watches have been mostly typified by having mostly ceramic cases. In fact Rado was pretty much the innovator behind ceramic watch. For 2012 a cool re-done diver collection comes out and it barely has any ceramic! Well, a bit more on the chrono model. I have to admit that I always wanted one of these Mr. Roboto watches from Azimuth. As part of their Mecha collection this large tonneau shaped watch had some interesting complications and was 100% thematically in honor of vintage wind-up robot toys. Prototype designs of the watch has a normal crown, but when it was finally released in 2008 the watch has a "winding key" style crown.The dial of the steel watch looks like a robot face, but it is all functional! Really not a lot to add to this video in terms of stuff to say. The merits are there for your eyes. You have the very friendly Arnd at A. Lange & Sohne wearing TheTimeTV's signature little microphone talking about the new Richard Lange "Pour le Merite" and new 1815 watch line that was officially released at SIHH in January a couple months back.
