As SIHH each year Jaeger-LeCoultre is on my short list of brands that I am very excited to see. Their booth isn't design by people who work at Universal Studios, and their watches are cool creations that real people might actually wear. This applies to both their reasonably priced pieces and more exotic fare like this new version of the Duometre called the Spherotourbillon. Watch maker Ludovic Ballouard presents his first self-branded timepiece, the "Upside Down Watch." A finely made high-end watch, the piece incorporates Ballouard's experience accumulated from working at brands such as Franck Muller and the very well-respected F.P. Journe. You can see elements of his time at F.P. Journe in his own watch, whose movement thematically resembles the work coming out of that atelier. Ludovic is an open fan of F.P. Journe, highly admiring the brand's work (not just because he spend a good amount of years there), and still often wears a F.P. Journe watch today.

The version of the new Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph calibre 1887 that I was checking out personally will be changed a bit. The image at the bottom of this article of the black dialed version watch represents what the final version that will be available late this year. Casio G-Shock G-Rescue G7900 Cold Resistant Watches
Here is a cool set of new Casio G-Shock watches that are coming very soon. And they are pretty economical to bat. Aside from new styling that is still utterly "G-Shock," the G-Rescue G7900 series of watches is specially made to be very cold resistant. They will survive negative four (- 4) degrees Fahrenheit. That is like like negative what in Celsius? I don't know, I am an American - we aren't expected to know these things. If you want a blank stare from me, trying explaining the size of something in centimeters. Millimeters I am OK with though.. gonna know that for watch case sizes!T
