I am sitting here with my Longio?Zhuke watch a few months after getting it, examining the patina on the case. A modern looking dive watch, rather than being in a typical steel case, the Zhuke comes in bronze. The odd material became popular over the last few years for unknown reasons. At Basel 2011 I was surprised to see these new dive watches from Perrelet. The brand has recently focused a lot on formal and sport so I should have expected a good diver, however, I never saw these coming. October 10-13, 2013 is the inaugural "Festival of Watches" event in Beverly Hills, California. Los Angeles has sorely needed a decent watch event and this is a good start. The Rodeo Drive Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with a range of watch boutiques will have some special events, open store hours, and watches during the festival period.
