The favorite IWC Ingenieur watch
To be honest, IWC is not my brand. Omega and Rolex are my brand, I love what they do and like most of their watches. However, there are a few other brands that are one or two types of watches that I really like, and that's it. I don't care much for IWC in General. Not my cup of tea. But I like the engineer and the watches of blue line. Anyway, I read a few articles on the new REF.
Watch What-If: Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon
Hopefully, this set of artistic renderings of the Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Chronograph Dark Side of the Moon (reviewed here) marks a return to our beloved "Watch What-If" series, where we explore what popular watch models might look like as seen through different eyes. Swedish artist and graphic designer Niklas Bergenstjerna has some fun with everyone's favorite ceramic Speedmaster, the Dark Side of the Moon, for the aBlogtoWatch audience.Niklas Bergenstjerna comments that he liked to explore the intersection of watches as tools and art. Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter Tourbillon Watch
This is the Moon Orbiter Tourbillon ref.?RJ.M.TO.MO.001.01 (debuted here with more details) and it does not make any apologies for being a space ship for your wrist¡§C with a tourbillon. Say what you will about Swiss watch brand Romain Jerome, but don't say they are boring because they most certainly aren't. Among the more established watch makers, there is perhaps none more controversial, weird, and just plain interesting than Romain Jerome (RJ). Over the last decade the brand hasn't been managed by typical people, and the timepieces they produce are a more than clear result of that fac
Gustafsson & Sj?gren Dragon Watch Available On James List
I recently discussed the Arlanch watch, another Swedish timepiece. That watch and this "Dragon" from Gustafsson & Sj?gren (who call themselves GoS for short) couldn't be more opposite. One a distinct bore (Arlanch), while this one (GoS) a distinct work of art. Their real contribution to the work of horology is their uses of Damascus steel that they develop themselves. You might not like all the watch they do, but you have to admire their talent and dedication to their artistic pursuit. What started as a talent for collector's knife making eventually found its way into working on wa
Hamilton Below Zero Chronograph Diver Watch Freshens Up Below Zero Line
There was a lot of controversy over the three-handed Below Zero watch that Hamilton released within the last year. I spoke about it here, and suggested that it had a subtle art deco styling. A good deal of people disagreed, while many saw exactly what I was talking about. I didn't realize a little bit of art deco was something to disagree over. Suffice it to say that the original Hamilton Below Zero was an acquired, or at least subjective taste. Now Hamilton is about to release the chronograph version of the Below Zero watch, and have made more changes than expected. Other than the add
