Nomos Orion 38 Watch Review
As a dyed-in-the-wool sport watch guy, I always have some trouble with dress watches. I've reviewed a handful in my time and while many were great watches, I never feared the moment when a dressy piece would be returned to its owner and I would go back to my personal collection of brutish divers and tough-boy pilots. That changed when I got a chance to see a variety of Nomos watches earlier this year at Baselworld. While the new Ahoi is certainly a stunner, the 38 mm versions of Nomos' standard line, the Tangente, Ludwig and the Orion, felt like a good fit for not only my wrist - but a
BEST FROM: & Friends October 11, 2013
We kick off October by checking out the biggest winners and losers of the recently concluded Only Watch 2013 charity auction. We also review the new MB&F Legacy Machine 2, take a closer look at the new Big Bang watches and their UNICO movements, a unique Bathys atomic wristwatch and a limited edition Panerai watch created specially for Paneristis. Finally, we learn more about the Horween leather company and hear what John Mayer (yes, the singer) has to say about watch collecting.1. Christopher Ward W60 Coral Ladies Watch Review
With Valentine's Day coming up it is good for us to have a few decent watch options to buy for those watch loving ladies in our lives. If you don't have any of those around you certainly haven't been spreading your enthusiasm for timepieces effectively. I don't review watches for women all that often because I am not a woman and cannot comment on them as such. Fortunately in this case I am merely reporting on a review by a woman owner of this precise watch. I'll also add why in the abstract this piece is pretty nice in my opinion. This W60 Coral (ref. W60-SMWM) is a lady diver-
Bell & Ross WW1 & PW1 Argentium Watches
The last major Bell & Ross watch that we haven't covered yet for 2012 is the WW1 and PW1 Argentium collection. I believe Bell & Ross CEO Mr. Carlos Rosillo himself was wearing a WW1 Argentium watch when I checked out this collection among other Bell & Ross pieces. For me, this is one of the most curious models. While not limited in production, it is a very niche timepiece. It will no doubt be selectively produced and offered in limited locations. A very interesting watch that is still very much a Bell & Ross. What is Argentium you ask? It is a trademarked name for a spe
Breguet R¡§|veil du Tsar Enamel Dial Watch
I love it when enamel dials turn out this nice. Breguet offers up a new version of the several year old Reveil du Tsar alarm watch with this enamel dial that is available only in the boutiques. Expect more and more "boutique specials" in stores to attract customers in there instead of other dealers or the Internet. $36,400.Read my full article on the Breguet Reveil du Tsar Enamel Dial watch here at Haute Living.See Breguet watches on eBay here.See Breguet watches on Amazon here.UPDATE: Haute Living recently moved their watch articles to "hautetime" and we've updated the link. 0
