Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton Black & Gold Watch
Graham's automotive-themed watches tend to fall under its Silverstone model collection, and a new version for 2014 is this Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton Black & Gold. What is really new are?the colors, but since we've never officially discussed the Silverstone RS Skeleton, I thought it would be an opportune time along with these hands-on images. Before I talk about the Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton, I feel compelled to discuss automotive watches overall¡§Cperhaps because they are a frustrating and also exciting variety of timepiece species. First comes the logical, if not expected,
Bulova Accutron Amerigo Watch Review
When you think of Bulova, you very likely think of their highly accurate Precisionist line. While those are of interest, today I'd like to focus in on a line that is actually rather storied in their lineup - the Accutron. This is a lineup that first came to be in the 1960's, and it's where the tuning fork made it's entrance, helping to create greater accuracy in the quartz movement. Today, we'll look at one of the more refined pieces in the current lineup, the Bulova Accutron Amerigo. The Bulova Accutron Amerigo is a watch that straddles the line between sport (given the inclusion of a
Bulova Precisionist Champlain 96B132 Watch Review
For all that it is, I don't think that the newer Bulova Precisionist watch collection gets enough attention. I don't blame people because it takes a bit of education to understand what makes these watches so special - especially at their price. What you essentially have here is a high-end quartz watch at relatively inexpensive price. The Precisionist is a sort of sub-line under Bulova right now as each of them have the same movements. Right now there is really only one Precision movement (or movement style), but I have a feeling in time there will be more. Thus, all Precisionist watche
Sinn 358 Chronograph Watches
Almost under the radar comes this new Sinn 358 watch. Did I intend to make that initial statement because this is a pilot watch? No but it works. I love timepieces like this that are all tool and do not look like they are made to be worn by tools. German Sinn watches continue to make me happy for mostly dismissing the pressures of the high-end watch world to upmarket all decent watches out there. Not that Sinn watches are cheap, but rather that they mostly feel fairly priced. The 358 collection is a good sign because it shows Sinn increasing the sizes of a few of their core collection
Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback Watch
The first Zenith watch that had my heart was the Rainbow Flyback. Yes, it had a "pretty" name, but this killer chrono was made specially for the French Ministry of Defense, and was an amazing watch from the 1990s. By the way, what is it exactly about French military forces that makes them constantly new watches? Those guys are basically one big group of watch lovers.I've always wanted to see the return of the Rainbow. Zenith played with El Primero chronographs over the years that got close, but nothing really was a true follow-up. With the Stratos we now have an official Rainbow heir.
