Parmigiani has already gained a strong foothold in the world of horology
The two-year old watch company Parmigiani has already gained a strong foothold in the world of horology. Encouraged by car racing, it has surprised the demanding audience by its extraordinary watches: chronographs, regulators and tourbillions.Created in cooperation with the designer Eric Giroud, the brand's new brainchild, named Predator, has also inherited many features from racing automobiles: the brake discs and the pedals, the five-layer dial featuring a honeycomb base, as well as the bridges shaped as a push rod (the bridges are used to connect the chronograph counters to the dial).

Keeping You On Time: Central Watch In New York City
Many trains and hubs have been built America, but in most places we don't use train stations like we used to. A major exception to this is Grand Central Station in New York City. This isn't a watch for kids or people right out of college. The long rectangular case and wild serif font speak to those who have more life experience under their belts. This is especially true given the classic style triple calendar
Roger Dubuis Easy Diver SED Tourbillon Limited Edition Watch
Last March I was very intrigued by the marketing images of this new Roger Dubuis Easy Diver SED Tourbillon watch with its intense level of skeletonization, in carbon fiber, that looked like tree branches. If you look closely, you can tell that the movement is barley even there. The biggest parts are the one minute flying tourbillon and the mainspring. Surprisingly, the manually wound Roger Dubuis caliber RD 02 SQ3 movement has a 60 hour power reserve (movement bears the Seal of Geneva). One thing that I want to make clear is that the "branches" of the movement are done in carbon
