Baselworld Best: Timepieces To Watch In 2012
Leaving Baselworld each year is bitter sweet because I tend to have such a good time. I don?¡¥t get to see even a third of what I would like to check out, and it is great to be among my friends and close colleagues for over a week. It is tiring however, and during final days you end up forgetting you are there for watches. I love it though, and am proud to be part of the world?¡¥s biggest watch show. Next year I have decided I need to attend the show with a posse. Who is with me? I can promise there will be some nice watch fondling going on.So I keep getting asked what my impression of th
At The Maurice Lacroix Watch Manufacture
A few months ago I got to visit the Maurice Lacroix watch manufacture in Saignel¡§|gier, Switzerland. No, I still can't pronounce the name of the city, but the building itself was surprisingly modern and well-designed. While relatively new, Maurice Lacroix as a brand is also pretty new in the scheme of other Swiss watches in the area. The brand was founded in 1975 with ties to the area going back to the early 1960s I believe. What you need to know about Maurice Lacroix is that they are among the few Swiss watch brands that aim to have an independent spirit, but also a sense of affordabil

You don't see combinations like this very often. Here, German Marcello C. has fitted their Nettuno Chronograph watch with a PVD black bezel and PVD black pushers and crown, against a stainless steel case. I think it is a very attractive combo. The look results in sort of a two-tone look that is quite popular these days. It makes the watch very noticeable as well - being more "striking" than models without the color combo. This is the first ever use of PVD in the Nettuno watch collection that I am aware of as well. You will notice of course that there are "mirror" image watches here. As
Celebrates Over 500 Watch Articles
It is hard for me to believe too. Some call me a machine, and others just think I am crazy. Most people who know me are sick of hearing about watches at this point. "This is going to be a watch talk free evening" they say (to which I frown). Then I remember that I have all of you with whom to share my passion for time telling machines. That passion has inspired over 500 articles over the past 15 months with no end in site. The established watch community is adopting me as a reputable voice (notable by my inclusion as the watch blogger on Luxist), and the growth of my readership is
