Quartz movements are capable and accurate, and generally come in at a lower price point than their mechanical brethren. When I was visiting with Casio at their rather massive room at Baselworld 2010, it was? almost an overwhelming, colorful adventure of Casiotopia. The G-Shock area was probably the most interesting to me because those Japanese designers frequently have something stimulation each year that you don't expect.
