Two Vintage Tudors Worth A Look: While Not Really Rolexes
As many of you probably know, Tudor is a subsidiary of Rolex who sells watches on the theme of even slightly less than the price of a Rolex. They are certainly not a Rolex, but they are still very solid timepiece. Rolex case and crowns and a large part of this Rolex finishing but with modified highly movements ETA are adjusted to Rolex spec... for us, seems fairly well. The only difference is the ETA vs Rolex movement and the name on the face. They have been absent from the stage to the United States for some time but their new Grantour watch is a stunner, and it is also the official watch of Porsche Motorsport... not bad right?
Girard-Perregaux New Sea Hawk Watch
Recently we debuted the new Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk and Chrono Hawk watches (here). Very soon after I got a chance to get some hands-on love with the new collection. While I debuted the new models in a single article, they are really distinct watches. In addition to be being a "Basel Special" piece, it is also done in honor of the classic Rado Diastar."Diastar" has been hipped down to "D-Star," which is supposed to make the collection sound more cool. The slightly oval, oblong case is much like the original, but the sporty dial and subtl
Daniel Roth Endurer Chronosprint Watch
This is probably the nicest Daniel Roth watch I know of, which is saying a lot since Daniel Roth watches are usually REALLY NICE. No, it isn't the fanciest, or most complex watch - and to a large degree the watch is a total contradiction. For example, the name "Chronosprint" makes you think of measuring quick short times, when in reality, it is just the opposite with this self described chronograph for measuring longer measurements of time(because it does not count the seconds). Only hours and minutes are measures in the subsidiary dial with two hands that replicates the chronograph lo
