Christophe Claret Margot: His First Watch For Women That They Will Love/Love Not
The Margot is Christophe Claret's first watch ever intended for women, and we have to admit that it is rather imaginative. The maker of extremely high-end complicated men's watches wanted to create something unique for females, so he made a watch with a poetic complication very similar in theme to what a brand like Van Cleef & Arpels would create. Though I had to say that only an independent watchmaker such as Christophe Claret would have the mind and motivation to take a concept such as this so far. The complication in the Margot watch is a simple game of chance, and the irony is
Bulgari Daniel Roth Grande Sonnerie Quantieme Perpetual Watch
This new Bulgari Daniel Roth collection watch joins the ranks (small ranks) of million dollar plus timepieces from the brand. Offering a wildly complicated movement and inspiration from the Daniel Roth brand that Bulgari engulfed into itself, this piece is one serious homage to a love of horology.Based on the commentary I have received thus far, people seem to dig the video Bulgari made about its new Daniel Roth Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar watch. I must admit that it does work well when you make a watch look like a deity coming from space to save the planet - with chimes. Chime
Montblanc TimeWalker TwinFly Chronograph Watch Review
Having mentioned this before, I will reiterate that the Montblanc Timewalker has been a watch that I've appreciated for a long time. For years the design and concept behind the Timewalker has kept me thinking "damn, that is a really nice watch... I seriously want one" That specific emotional connection isn't easy to reach, and only a handful of watch collections out there keep my interest for so long. For that reason I was more than happy to spend some quality time with this special timepiece that isn't only a Timewalker, but also a watch that contains a brand new and totally unique in
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980 Watch
New Patek Philippe watches for 2010 didn't exactly make me jump for joy, but I did like the two new additions to the Nautilus collection. No new movements, but new implementations in the Nautilus cases. Here is the Nautilus Chronograph (ref. 5980 in steel and 5980R in gold), and I also liked the Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726 that I wrote about here. What I like about the layout of the Patek Philippe Caliber CH 280520 C is that is it is a 12 hour chronograph that looks like a watch with only a subsidiary seconds dial (more or less) - and is still easy to read. Pretty nice looking a
Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster X-Lume Watch
This is the star new Ball watches of the year in my opinion. This timepiece is a smooth evolution of the Hydrocarbon watch design. It combines so much of what I like about Ball watches and presents it in a nicely refined package that I certainly feel has the quality of a new classic for the brand. No doubt there will be spin-offs on this design for a while to come. I recently discussed some Ball watches that I like when I was visiting with Ball in Las Vegas here. Enough of you commented positively that I realized I was not alone in appreciating this brand. Which means that I think enou
