Glashutte Original presents a larger-in-size interpretation
In 2009, Glashutte Original presents a larger-in-size interpretation of its elegant Senator Chronograph watch. The new timepiece is aimed at those who need a contemporary timekeeping companion offering the chronograph function and bearing a highly prestigious brand name.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Table Ronde Watch Fulfills Your Arthurian Dreams
It was only a matter of time before the Roger Dubuis Excalibur watch connected itself a bit more with Arthurian legend. For 2013, the high-end Swiss watch brand and movement manufacture will produce a limited edition version of the Excalibur watch called the "Table Ronde." Somehow I feel that given the super Britishness of the concept, they would have forgone the French name and simply called it "The Round Table." As completely silly as this watch is, I still get a kick out of the concept. Like I said, I have been waiting for a more medieval version of the Excalibur for a while and thi
Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA Black & Steel Mood Chronograph Watches
One of Romain Jerome's new products for 2011 was a chronograph version of their Moon Dust DNA Black Moon and Steel Mood watches. These are probably some of the coolest Moon Dust DNA watches given the slick, eye-catching design. Of course, the concept inherently is meant to be provocative and not for everyone. For a better look, check out coverage of this watch in a March 2011 interview with RJ's CE
Praesto GMT Watch Review
Say hello to the Praesto GMT. We quite liked the Praesto Aviator, and now they've got a GMT watch for us to review. Built on the Shanghai RK4D movement (aka 'Shanghai B'), the GMT is the second watch for the Praesto brand. Praesto is a spin-off effort from the folks at Giovino, who after years of making watches for other people decided to start their own brand. Bravo! At 48.2mm by 15.8mm, the GMT is large, though with a 24 by 4mm band and 140g mass it still sits well on the wrist. The PVD case and black dial reduce the apparent size a bit, though if you really want subtlety I'd replace
The Geochron Combines Clock And Map: Coolness And Utility Outweigh Geek Factor
This is not exactly a new product, but you probably haven't seen one unless you are a regular reader of Hammacher Schlemmer catalogs and alike. The Geochron company makes, you guess it, Geochron wall clocks. There are a few models in the line, but they are very similar. The custom made wall clocks are actually very useful, and Geochron envisions them resting proudly in board rooms and executive offices. Yes, that is right, custom made for you right here in the US. How many things these days can tout that?Looking at the Geochron right away, you see a map of the world. You then se
