A black rubber strap, finished with a folding clasp, completes the features of the new Mido watch
The new Planet Flora Diamond watch displays hours and minutes by means of central partially transparent hands. Taking care of seconds is a slender hand, fitted with a red tip. The dial also ensures chronograph functions, presented through 12-hour, 30-minute and small seconds counters. They are located at 6, 9.30 and 2.30 respectively.Additionally, the display offers a date indication, which appears in the aperture at 4 o'clock. Animating the functions stated is a Swiss-made quartz Ronda 5030D movement.A black rubber strap, finished with a folding clasp, completes the features of the new Mido watch.
Orbita Avanti 3 Watch Winder Review
"Fancy." Was pretty much the word that came to mind after finally unwrapping the Avanti 3 from US-based watch winder maker Orbita. This isn't the first package from Orbita that I have had to wage sweet war with to open, so I know this is a trend. I have to say that if Orbita ever decided to get out of the watch winder business they would find immediate use in the "package stuff up so that no matter what, nothing will damage it" business. If the attention to detail they use when packaging their products up for delivery speaks anything about the attention to detail in their products - th
Ludovic Ballouard Upside Down Watch
Watch maker Ludovic Ballouard presents his first self-branded timepiece, the "Upside Down Watch." A finely made high-end watch, the piece incorporates Ballouard's experience accumulated from working at brands such as Franck Muller and the very well-respected F.P. Journe. You can see elements of his time at F.P. Journe in his own watch, whose movement thematically resembles the work coming out of that atelier. Ludovic is an open fan of F.P. Journe, highly admiring the brand's work (not just because he spend a good amount of years there), and still often wears a F.P. Journe watch today.
When You Must Travel With Lots Of Watches And Have Servants, Piaget Is There For You With the Collector's Trunk
I had an opportunity to experience these watch trunks from Piaget a few months ago while some Piaget representatives where in San Francisco at a watch show. I was impressed that the company had these enormous custom made watch cases fit for a passenger on the Titanic. What I didn't know was that enough people would declare "I want one," sufficient for Piaget to go out and produce enough of them for sale to the semi-public. Well here you have it, the Piaget Collector's Trunk is surely kit for a king, or any other manner of royalty (price to correspond). These are very high quality watch
Classic Complication & Beauty In The Maitres du Temps Chapter One Watch
New watch brands are appearing more frequently these days, and I am not sure what that means. Have existing brands run their course? Or does starting a new brand give a special value to a watch? The reality is that many brands have the same (or some of the same people) behind them. If you have a good enough team together, maybe it is worth just giving their creations a brand name. Maitres du Temps is just such a brand. Built by a watch distributor combining the aggregated efforts of modern watch masters such as Peter Speake-Marin, Roger Dubuis, and Christophe Claret.
