Clerc Hydroscaph Limited Edition Chronograph Watch Review
I said it before and will confirm it again now, this is probably the best dial that Clerc watches has designed in its modern life. I first covered this very nice Hydroscaph Limited Edition Chronograph watch here. Now after some time on my wrist I can discuss it a bit more.The basic Hydroscaph watch case has more or less remained the same for Clerc since its inception a few years ago. Usually Oris "Big Crown" watches are rather retro. This one isn't as retro visually and feels like something a helicopter pilot would have worn during the Vietnam era, or even today. 2011 might be the "Astro" year for Cartier. Last year's Cartier Rotonde Astrotourbillon was such a hit that 2011 will have at least two new "Astro" watches. One will be the Calibre Astrotourbillon (with the Rotonde's existing movement), while this one is something totally different. Blancpain 500 Fathoms Titanium Watch
Wow, I did not expect to see something so bold from Blancpain this year. This is a totally new route for their diving watches. At first I was torn about the look (didn't see to be much more than what Invicta could come up with), but then I began to appreciate the more subtle items. Retained are the sapphire crystal tops on the rotating bezel (such a nice feature by the way), and new are the hands, and the face.
