Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces
Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces and combines with the modern of the Speedmaster case look. It is an interesting drop-down list box. You also get the logo style vintage Omega red. The needle of the hours arrow blend well with the needle of the minutes dagger and the old style numerals. The tachometer bezel complements the Speedmaster character. The back of the watch probably has some etching on the theme of the Olympic Games. The size is probably about 42 mm wide and the watch will be steel. Inside of the watch is Omega co-axial 3888 calibre automatic movement - which is likely to certified chronometer. Functions more or less include a 12-hour chronograph and day date calendar. A very cool and functional design perfectly awaken our thoughts of Omega and the Olympic Games. Only thing they have left was the logo of Olympic rings as the counterweight on the chronograph seconds hand - but that he would have obstructed the dial too. Price will be available early next year of
HYT H1 Hyrdo Mechanical Watches Start Shipping + Mini Interview
The much anticipated and highly fawned over HYT H1 Hydro Mechanical watch is now shipping to retailers globally. Just the fact that HYT is telling us this is a good sign. Why? Well when we go to shows liked Baselworld to see new products, they are often prototypes or pre-production models. Brands use those experiences with the media and retailers to determine how many watches to build, or whether certain pieces should be produced at all. Immediately after people like me see cool stuff we want to write about them. For example, I did a hands-on article with the HYT H1 watch here. Consume
Some Ikepod Watches
Ikepod timepieces have been around since I started getting into watches about a decade ago. An elusive brand, seeing these watches in person isn't all that common. The brand has had its ups and downs but seems to be in good hands at this time. The politics there are interesting as Marc Newson is the designer and has an incredible amount of creative control (though he doesn't involve himself with day-to-day operations at all). Basically, if he wants it made, it gets made.A good example of this is with the Hemipode, which, for its time, was a very large watch (in the 1990s) at 44mm wide
Kobold Soarway GMT Avantgarde Watch
Why just 25 pieces Kobold? I mean this watch is really quite nice. While I appreciate the "Avantgarde" designation, this watch isn't that weird. I could easily see myself wearing it daily. I wonder what other styles of straps it would well on? Well for just 25 pieces, they are pricey. Is that Kobold's way of recouping the development cost for the piece? Well, I will tell you what you need to know, and then you can decide whether it is too expensive. Either way, very pretty timepiece. The most avant garde aspect of this Soarway GMT is the bezel. The uni-directional diver's bezel
