Vacheron Constantin watch with a movement of the hand-wound
The choice of Sapphire for the curved Crystal is a useful modern update and offer great protection against scratches. The count in the 1921 American historical of Vacheron Constantin watch is a movement of the hand-wound which has been designed and manufactured in-house. The calibre of Vacheron Constantin 4400 is 28 mm in diameter, just 2.8 mm thick and has earned the seal of Geneva strict compliance with the standards established by the Canton of Geneva for mechanical movements of high quality.
Kentex Marineman Sapphire Ceramic Watch
You may have not have heard of?Kentex watches. If you haven't, don't blame any lack of your paying attention to watch brands. The Japanese company is rare in the Western world, and probably not exactly common in the East either. What you should know is that for the most part their watches offer excellent value for the money, with an impressive level of not only quality but features. Let's look at the new for 2013 version of the Kentex Marineman.I ran into Kentex originally at the 2012 Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair when I first attended the show. I only spent a few minutes with them
Tissot PRS 516 Extreme Automatic Watch
For 2013,?Tissot has taken one of our favorite families in their collection and updated it with an "Extreme" model. We were pretty sure that after the "extreme" label was overused on everything from deodorant to caffeine drinks several years ago, its use would have been reserved to actual extreme situations. To be honest, ask us what an "extreme" watch is and we'd have to think it over for a while... maybe a watch that yells and then explodes? That would be pretty extreme. Despite the generic label which tends to merely mean "new," this modern update on the PRS 516 is looking to be a n
ITAnano/iTime Phantom Carbonio Watch Review
It seems as though the name of this watch has changed since I received it. So while it says "iTime" on the dial, the new brand name is ITAnano - which I presume is a combination of Italy and nano-particle. The designer of this piece is the prolific Alessandro Baldieri, who has an eponymous brand as well as a few other sub-brands. iTime and ITAnano are among them. iTime probably had some obvious issues with the name. Not sure if "ITAnano" is much better, but at least it is more distinctive. I imagine iTime might have had some legal issues with it as well - just guessing. Anyhow, the wat
Victorinox Swiss Army Airboss Mach 6 Chronograph Watch
Victorinox has been making increasingly nice mechanical watches of late. The Dive Master 500 is an ETA 2892-based diver that has a lot of fans, and the Airboss Mach 6 Chrono, ref. 241447, is quite eye-catching. Based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750, it's a 3-register, 12-hour chronograph with date, which is a challenge to keep legible. VSA did a good job here, with well-sized sword hands and upright Arabic numerals. The date is tucked away at 4:30 with a color-matched white on black wheel, and the subdials have the same white-inside-black theme as the main dial. Concentric black and white at s
