Bovet Timepieces Owner Pascal Raffy On Patrimony, Values, And The True Meaning Of Luxury
The watch industry is a place I became a part of by accident, and in a sense my love of watches themselves was an accident. Stumbling upon the world of timepieces, I quickly identified with a number of values I had that were shared in the design and construction of high-end timepieces. What I later learned is that this story is anything but unique. Many people who entered the watch industry of their own volition never had the desire to be involved with watches but rather found a number of values in the watch world that they could identify with. In my opinion, this explains the recent h
Top 10 'The Great Gatsby' Era Watches
With the 2013 movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby book being released shortly, we wanted to take a look at some of the best wrist watches from the roaring 20s. The 1920s, in a sense, was the first real decade of the wrist watch. It was when both men and women started to adapt wrist watches over pocket watches. This is one of them. It also helps that it looks nice and have gorgeously printed images. Images that put even the best computer images to shame. I kid you
Tudor Heritage Chrono Watch Video Has American Flair, Not Actually Sold In America
Asia's fascination with the Tudor watch brand continues to elude me. Maybe that is because Tudor watches haven't been sold in the US in a while (at least as far as I know). So I have no emotional connect to the brand or its timepieces. As most of you know, Tudor is a brand run and owned by Rolex. Some call it baby Rolex, some call it "poor, but not so poor man's Rolex." Their new watch marquee watch for 2010 is the Heritage Chrono. Not exactly my favorite piece, but this Tudor made video makes it look cool. American music (though covered, and not the original song so as to avoid expensive ro
