Replica Blancpain La Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire GMT automatic watch
However, the masters of the watchmaking revealed just some interesting information about the upcoming clock. The shows will feature a rare variant of the GMT complication which allows to set the time in the second zone time in half-hour increments. The watch is intended to be extremely easy to use. A few turns of the Crown will be sufficient to make all adjustments: date, time zone and time of reference.
Breva G¡§|nie 01 Is First Ever Mechanical Weather Station Watch
Thanks to the talent brought to us by master watch movement designer Jean-Francois Mojon and company Chronode, we now have on this earth what is essentially the world?¡¥s most expensive "Casio ProTrek" with the Breva Genie 01 timepiece. Why spend a few hundred bucks for a watch with a slew of digital environmental sensors that can (and will) last like an Energizer bunny when for over $150,000 you can get a mechanical weather station watch with an altimeter and barometer? Of course the Breva requires a bit more tinkering and care. It makes perfect sense for me. It's like those guys that w
Bremont B-1 Marine Clock
Check out the first working version of Bremont's highly anticipated Marine Clock (model B-1). While this still an unfinished prototype, we can see just how close to the concept Bremont was actually able to make the clock look in reality. There are still some things to complete. For example this version doesn't yet have working knobs to control the clock or adjust the times. You'll also see a lack of detachable winch style winding stem that is still in development. But the clock is more or less done, and it is really a thing of beauty.I wrote about the Bremont Marine Clock previ
Michael Bittel Double Diaphragm Eclipse Watch
This watch doesn't just have a dial that looks like a camera shutter, the prototype version actually used a camera shutter. Michael Bittel cannibalized a friend's vintage camera (he had permission) and took out the shutter. He ground it down and modified it, and used it to make an opening and closing dial on a watch. This isn't the first time that a shutter aperture style dial has graced my eyes, but it is one of the nicest renditions. I did mention the de Grisogono Fuso Quadrato Two Time Zone watch that applied a similar idea. Although on the Eclipse, the shutter opens up to re
Zodiac ZMX 03 Chronograph Diver Watch Is Kinda Chronograph, Kinda Not - Kinda Interesting, Kinda Bland
It is easy to see how this watch came into existence. Zodiac is part of the uber-mediocre Fossil watch company. Think of a committee sitting around together. Maybe only one or two of them knows anything about the technical side of watch making. The rest are product designers, hipsters, and marketing people who like to gauge market trends. Someone blandly comments, "Zodiac has a deep history with diving, let's create something bold, that fits in the existing product line." The non-technical designers go to work, basically ignoring most of the functional elements, and only focusing on pu
