Hamilton Watches Open Up Their New Movement
I've been a fan of the Hamilton Jazzmaster line for some time now, and have appreciated some of the open-heart dials they've created in the past. Their latest (the Viewmatic Skeleton), though, is truly a skeleton watch, not just a dial with some cut out pieces of metal.That's because the Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton watches (yes, this is a his-n-her's release) were designed with the intent of showing off their new H-20-S automatic movement. Omega Announces Anti-Magnetic 8508 Watch Movement
Omega announced recently that they have designed an anti-magnetic watch movement based on their in-house co-axial 8500 series. The calibre 8508 uses specialized non-ferrous materials in its construction which allows it to be unaffected by magnetic energy up to 1.5 Tesla (15,000 gauss). Omega employed the Aqua Terra platform to display the movement as the 8508 does not rely on a conventional iron case layer for magnetic protection. This non-ferrous construction allows the movement to be protected from considerable magnetic interference while still being viewable via a display case back.

Archimede released their next Pilot automatic watch with the Pilot XL Automatik.
